On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, also felicitated the Bahrain Yogasana team, which recently participated in the 2nd Asian Yogasana Sport Championship, held in April in New Delhi.

A short video on International Day of Yoga 2025 with the theme “Yoga For One Earth, One Health,” released by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, was played during the event.

A video titled Viksit Bharat Ka Amrit Kaal: Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan ke 11 Saal, highlighting 11 years of achievements of the Government of India, was also screened.

This was followed by videos highlighting instructions and guidelines issued by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as updated on the National Civil Protection Platform (NCPP), aimed at creating awareness among the general public in light of the prevailing regional situation.

Ambassador Jacob, in his speech, also advised the Indian community in Bahrain to follow the instructions on NCPP and adhere to the official advisories issued by the Kingdom.

Initiatives

Yoga celebrations in Bahrain began in April 2025 with a yoga session at the Embassy to mark 75 days to IDY 2025.

In May, two additional yoga sessions were held at the Embassy premises to mark 50 days and 25 days leading up to the event.

The International Day of Yoga celebrations continued throughout the month of June with a series of yoga-related events and initiatives across Bahrain, organised by various Indian community associations and schools, providing an exclusive platform to promote health and well-being to all segments of the community.

The Embassy extended its appreciation to various Indian community organisations, schools, and Indian and Bahraini yoga enthusiasts for making the Yoga Day celebrations a resounding success.
