The Embassy of India in Bahrain officially launched the 25-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with a vibrant curtain raiser event held at the Embassy premises. The gathering brought together a spirited mix of yoga students, community members, yoga enthusiasts from across the Kingdom, and Embassy officials — all united by a shared commitment to wellness, inner peace, and global harmony.
The event marks a key milestone in Bahrain’s lead-up to the 10th edition of the International Day of Yoga, celebrated annually on June 21. As part of the Embassy’s early initiatives, yoga sessions were already held in April to commemorate 75 and 50 days ahead of IDY 2025.
Month-Long Celebrations Ahead
The Embassy announced that yoga celebrations will continue throughout June, featuring a series of community events, workshops, and awareness drives across the Kingdom — all culminating in the grand main event on 21 June 2025. This day, recognized globally as the International Day of Yoga, is observed with the aim of promoting the ancient practice as a powerful tool for physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual balance.
The Embassy extended an open invitation to all yoga practitioners and wellness enthusiasts in Bahrain to join the movement and participate in the upcoming events.
“Let us come together in the spirit of health, unity, and peace as we build momentum toward IDY 2025,” the Embassy noted in its statement.
