HRH the Crown Prince Joins Leaders at Royal Banquet in Malaysia
Prince Salman bin Hamad underscores Bahrain’s commitment to international cooperation
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, attended a royal lunch banquet hosted by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the King of Malaysia. The banquet was held in honour of the leaders of delegations participating in the Second GCC-ASEAN Summit and the inaugural ASEAN-GCC-China Summit.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad led Bahrain’s official delegation to the summits, representing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The high-level gathering brought together leaders from across the Gulf and Southeast Asia to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.
Strengthening Regional and Global Partnerships
In his remarks, His Royal Highness praised Malaysia’s excellent organisation of the twin summits, noting their significance in fostering greater cooperation and strategic coordination between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of such platforms in advancing shared goals and building long-term partnerships that benefit all participating nations.
Engaging in Strategic Dialogue
On the sidelines of the banquet, the Crown Prince held discussions with several heads of delegations. These conversations focused on mutual interests, including the enhancement of bilateral relations, collaborative development opportunities, and the latest regional and global developments.
The participation of Bahrain in these high-level diplomatic forums reaffirms the Kingdom’s active role in regional diplomacy and its commitment to promoting peace, development, and cooperation across continents.
