1,000 Ramadan Baskets Distributed as Part of ‘Majalat Al-Khair 8’ Initiative

His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, has launched the eighth edition of the "Majalat Al-Khair" initiative, distributing over 1,000 Ramadan food baskets in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, which has achieved significant success over the years, continues to reinforce its impact as a charitable and community-driven program. The launch event was attended by Deputy Governor Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, alongside several officials, volunteers, and members of the governorate.

On this occasion, His Highness the Governor emphasized the Southern Governorate's commitment to launching a series of community initiatives during Ramadan. He highlighted that "Majalat Al-Khair 8" is one of the most exceptional initiatives, having consistently delivered positive outcomes through its previous editions. He noted that the initiative aligns with the governorate’s mission to strengthen community partnerships and promote values of solidarity and social cohesion.

His Highness also underscored the importance of volunteer work and teamwork, as the initiative involves the participation of volunteers from both genders across the governorate, supervised by the Southern Governorate’s personnel. Additionally, the initiative is supported by Ibrahim K. Kanoo Company, Basmat Khair Society, and independent volunteers. He further stated that the involvement of volunteers reflects the noble objectives of the initiative and helps instill strong community values.

During the event, the Governor officially inaugurated the eighth edition of "Majalat Al-Khair," which includes essential food and household supplies distributed annually in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.

It is worth noting that the Southern Governorate first launched this charitable initiative in 2018. Since then, "Majalat Al-Khair" has become a key social project aimed at providing Ramadan food baskets to families in need.
