Qari Sami elected Pakistan School Board Chairman
Qari Sami ur Rehman was unanimously elected as the chairman of Pakistan School Board of Management in its first meeting after the elections. The seven-member board held its first meeting on the school premises here on Saturday in which, all the elected members and Principal Sajid Ali Khan were present.
The election, held on December 5, also elected Shah Jahan as the Vice-Chairman.
The other five members are Chaudhry Rafaqat Hussain, Ejaz Yousaf, Arif Aziz, Ilyas Khan and Qaiser Mehmood.
Speaking to DT News, Qari Sami said they would elevate the standard of Pakistan School to meet all the international standards of Quality Assurance.
He added he would change the traditional style of teaching with the new and scientific style on priority basis.
He said they would also focus on enhancing the extracurricular activities in the school. “We want to develop leadership and communications skills of the students. We can do so on the guidelines of The Toastmasters Club,” he said.
Shah Jahan said they had left politics behind and now would concentrate on welfare of the students.
Ejaz Yousaf said, “We will support the board on everything it does, in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan School. However, we will oppose them if something goes against the benefit of the students.”
Principal Sajid Ali Khan said the old board had done a great job and they were expecting the same from the new board.
Chairman of Election Commission Saqib stated both the groups had happily accepted the results of the elections.
