The Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) strongly condemned and denounced the hostile allegations in an article published by an Iranian newspaper regarding the Kingdom of Bahrain. The BJA stressed that such claims constitute an unacceptable attack on Bahrain’s sovereignty, independence, and deeply rooted Arab identity, as well as a clear violation of the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the sovereignty of states enshrined in international law and conventions.

The Association emphasized that claims suggesting the Bahraini people consider themselves Iranian are nothing more than political fantasies detached from reality and lacking any historical, legal, or factual basis. It stressed that Bahrain’s Arab identity, sovereignty, and independence are established facts affirmed by the will of its people and recognized by international legitimacy, leaving no room for debate or dispute.

The BJA noted that the Bahraini people have consistently demonstrated pride in their homeland, leadership, and Arab and Gulf identity. It added that the strong national unity displayed by Bahrainis and their steadfast support for the Kingdom’s leadership and institutions send a clear message that Bahrain remains resilient against any attempts to undermine its security or sovereignty.
