Tribute to Sir Syed Ahmed Khan
Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Bahrain (AMUAAB) will hold an event at Golden Tulip Hotel on November 16 to honour renowned Indian educationalist, scholar, social reformer and visionary Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan founded Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), one of the top Indian universities, in the year 1875.
Speaking to Tribune, Dr. Sharique Ahmed, General Secretary of AMUAAB, said, “AMU has a wide network of alumni scattered all over the world and celebrates their founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s birth anniversary with great enthusiasm in every part of the world.” “The event shall be graced by some illustrious guests from India and Bahrain including Shura Council member Dr. Fatima Abdul Jabbar Kooheji, Anubhav Sinha, a noted Bollywood director and Shakil Ahmad Azmi, Chairman of Ibn Al Hytham School Bahrain.”
