HM King Hamad Receives Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Al Safriya Palace.

At the meeting, the Speaker conveyed to His Majesty the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, along with best wishes for Bahrain’s continued prosperity and progress.

His Majesty requested the Speaker to convey his greetings in return to the Pakistani President, wishing the people of Pakistan further growth and prosperity.

King Hamad reaffirmed the strength of the longstanding bilateral relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, built on deep-rooted historical ties and mutual cooperation. He emphasized the importance of parliamentary visits in enhancing cooperation, exchanging legislative expertise, and coordinating on issues of common interest, all in service of the Arab and Islamic nations.

His Majesty also praised the achievements of Bahrain’s legislative authority in supporting the Kingdom and its people, while commending the ongoing partnership between Bahrain and Pakistan, which reflects the close Islamic ties uniting both countries.

The meeting also addressed regional and international developments of mutual concern.

For his part, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed his gratitude for His Majesty’s warm hospitality, and lauded the King’s role in strengthening Bahraini-Pakistani relations, noting their steady growth across various sectors in the service of shared interests.
