Bahrain Paralympic Team Departs for World Championships

The delegation from the Bahrain Paralympic Committee departed yesterday for New Delhi, India, to participate in the World Athletics Championships. Their participation will continue until October 6.

The delegation is headed by His Highness Shaikh Sultan bin Duaij Al Khalifa and includes administrative and technical staff: Hussain Al Saud (administrative), Abdulrazzaq Sawaisah (technical manager), and coaches Ali Ghazal and Hassan Muftah.

Bahrain is represented by four athletes:

  • Ibrahim Al Moathn, competing in the 100m wheelchair race 

  • Ruba Al Omari, competing in shot put and discus throw events,

  • Mohammed Al Shawq, competing in the 100m and 200m wheelchair races,

  • Mohammed Saad, competing in shot put and discus throw events.
