HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets International Dates Council Executive Director

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Executive Director of the International Dates Council, at Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of Bahrain-Saudi relations, which are anchored in strategic multi-sector partnerships supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

His Royal Highness also recognised the efforts of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in advancing bilateral ties and fostering joint progress.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the International Dates Council for its role in enhancing food production, processing, and sustainable agricultural development, noting the Council’s contribution to strengthening food security across the GCC.

He further welcomed Bahrain’s hosting of the Council’s headquarters, describing it as a reflection of the Kingdom’s commitment to agriculture, afforestation, palm cultivation, and date production. His Royal Highness affirmed that this step consolidates Bahrain’s position as a global hub for expertise in the date sector, while supporting international efforts to achieve food security and sustainable development.

For her part, HRH Princess Sarah expressed appreciation to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to bolstering bilateral cooperation, commending Bahrain’s consistent support for initiatives that drive food innovation and security.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; along with several senior officials.
