Putin Says Seized Western Company Assets Could Be Returned
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that assets belonging to Western companies and seized by Moscow are currently frozen and could potentially be returned.
Speaking at the Valdai forum, Putin said Russia “does not take, steal, or nationalise anything from anyone.”
Asked whether the seized assets could be returned under a “favourable scenario,” Putin responded that they would be.
His comments come amid ongoing discussions over the status of Western corporate assets in Russia.
