UAE President and Oman’s Sultan discuss bilateral ties and regional developments

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman held talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday, focusing on the long-standing relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place during Sultan Haitham's fraternal visit to the UAE. The two leaders reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation, particularly in economic and development fields, in line with the shared priorities and interests of the two countries and the prosperity of their peoples.
Sheikh Mohamed and Sultan Haitham also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest, with particular attention to developments in the Middle East. They discussed ongoing efforts to promote security, stability and peace across the region.
The two leaders stressed the importance of continued consultation and coordination between the UAE and Oman as the region faces a range of shared challenges. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and supporting efforts aimed at safeguarding regional security and stability.
Sultan Haitham arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier in the day, where he was received by Sheikh Mohamed at the Presidential Airport. The welcoming ceremony was attended by senior UAE officials and members of the ruling family.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, among other senior officials.
Sultan Haitham was accompanied by a high-level Omani delegation, including Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, along with other ministers and officials.
