Sydney: Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood reached a major milestone on Saturday, claiming his 300th Test wicket during the first Test against Bangladesh in Darwin.
Hazlewood achieved the feat by dismissing Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who edged the delivery to wicketkeeper Alex Carey. The 35-year-old finished with 6/89, becoming only the ninth Australian bowler to reach 300 Test wickets.
Hazlewood now joins teammates Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon in Australia's 300-wicket club. The milestone came in his return to Test cricket after an extended injury absence.
Despite Hazlewood's impressive spell, Bangladesh were bowled out for 426, taking a commanding 228-run first-innings lead over Australia.
