Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye Condemn Israeli Violations in Gaza

The State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Türkiye have issued a joint statement strongly condemning what they described as ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly attacks targeting health facilities and infrastructure and the continued civilian casualties, including women and children.

The three mediating states said such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, calling on Israel to immediately comply with its legal obligations and fully adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

The mediators stressed that the continued violations undermine efforts to implement the agreement's second phase and jeopardize ongoing attempts to de-escalate the conflict. They noted that Hamas and other Palestinian factions had announced their acceptance of the proposed roadmap, including measures related to the confinement of weapons, making continued military actions a threat to the peace process and an added burden on civilians in Gaza.

Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye also renewed their call for the protection of civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian workers, emphasizing the urgent need to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies to all areas of the Gaza Strip.

The three countries urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by exerting pressure on Israel to comply with international law and the ceasefire agreement. They said such action is essential to advance the implementation of the U.S. President's peace plan, which described the second phase of the agreement as a historic opportunity for peace.

The mediators concluded by warning that continued violations risk derailing efforts to achieve a sustainable de-escalation, a permanent ceasefire and an end to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
