Kuwait Power Station Hit for Second Time
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity reported that a power generation and water desalination station was struck in what it called a criminal Iranian attack—the second such strike in two days. The assault sparked a fire in parts of the facility and knocked out many generation units.
Authorities immediately activated emergency plans to contain the damage and preserve the national electrical grid's stability.
Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, received a phone call from Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Al-Safadi. Both officials condemned the recent Iranian attacks on Kuwait and Jordan, affirming each country's full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability.
The United Arab Emirates also condemned renewed Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the strikes as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the three states and a direct threat to their security and stability, calling for regional restraint.
