Trump Accuses China of Stealing Data of 220 Million US Voters

Washington : US President Donald Trump has accused China of carrying out what he called the largest compromise of election data in history, claiming Beijing obtained the personal information of 220 million American voters during the 2020 election cycle.
In a televised address, Trump said the data included names, addresses, phone numbers and political party preferences. He also claimed US intelligence agencies had withheld information about alleged Chinese interference from him and Congress.
The White House released newly declassified documents alongside the speech. Trump said they showed that China wanted him to lose the 2020 election because Beijing knew he was “wise to them”. He has ordered the Justice Department, FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies to investigate the allegations.
Trump also renewed his criticism of major television networks that did not broadcast his speech live, accusing them of being part of a plot to influence elections and calling for their broadcast licences to be revoked.
