Tiger Woods Expected to Change Not Guilty Plea in DUI Case

FLORIDA: Golf superstar Tiger Woods is set to formally change his not guilty plea in his Florida driving under the influence case, according to court documents. A change of plea hearing was added to his case docket in Martin County.
The 15-time major champion crashed his SUV into a trailer near his Jupiter Island home in March.
Officers at the scene assessed Woods as impaired and found opioid painkillers in his possession. He was charged with misdemeanor DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a lawful test.
Following the incident, Woods announced he was stepping away to seek treatment at an inpatient facility. He made his first public appearance since his arrest at the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship in June.
In July, a judge ruled that prosecutors could review Woods' hospital treatment and prescription drug records. The court order restricted document access strictly to prosecutors, defense counsel, and designated experts.
The star golfer has previously undergone multiple back operations and surgeries for severe leg injuries sustained in a separate 2021 California crash.
