Kuwait has announced a six-day holiday for Eid al-Adha and Arafat Day for employees across ministries, government agencies and public institutions.
The decision was approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Sabah.
According to the announcement, the holiday will begin on May 26 and continue through May 31, with official work resuming on Monday, June 1.
Authorities said entities with special operational requirements will determine their own work schedules in coordination with relevant bodies to ensure continuity of essential services.
The Cabinet also extended Eid greetings to Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, as well as citizens and residents across the country.
Officials expressed hopes for continued prosperity, stability and blessings for Kuwait and the wider Islamic world during the Eid celebrations.
