Trump Pauses Tomorrow’s Planned Iran Strike

US President Donald Trump announced that the United States has postponed a planned military strike on Iran following requests from regional Gulf leaders to allow ongoing negotiations to continue.

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said he was asked by Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold off the attack, which had been scheduled for tomorrow.

Trump said the leaders believed ongoing talks could lead to a deal acceptable to the United States and countries across the Middle East. He added that the proposed agreement would ensure Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons.

The US President said he instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Daniel Caine and the US military not to proceed with the planned operation.

However, Trump warned that the military has been ordered to remain prepared for a large-scale assault on Iran at short notice if negotiations fail to produce an acceptable agreement.
