RIYADH: Cristiano Ronaldo added yet another historic milestone to his legendary career on Wednesday, scoring his 100th Saudi Pro League goal during Al-Nassr’s 4-2 win against Al-Shabab.
The 41-year-old forward’s second-half strike was his 26th league goal of the season and the 971st of his professional career. Alongside a hat-trick from Joao Felix, Ronaldo’s performance ensured Al-Nassr remained five points clear at the top of the table with 82 points from 32 matches.
Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus praised Ronaldo’s consistent danger in front of goal as the team prepares for a potentially title-deciding derby against Al-Hilal on May 12.
Beyond the domestic race, the club also remains in contention for the Asian Champions League Two crown, with a final set against Gamba Osaka on May 16.
