The UAE Ministry of Defence has signed two strategic partnership agreements with M42 and Burjeel Holdings to support the organisation of the 46th World Military Medicine Congress, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from November 9 to 13, 2026.

The agreements were signed during the “Made in the Emirates 2026” exhibition, underscoring growing collaboration between the defence and healthcare sectors in advancing medical innovation and readiness.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Sheikh Zayed bin Mansour bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Head of Strategic Partnerships at M42, Major General (Ret.) Dr. Aisha Sultan Al Zaabi, Executive Director of the Military Health Department, and Dimitris Melissanidis, CEO of M42 Group.

Under the partnership, M42 and Burjeel Holdings will support the congress through contributions aimed at enhancing medical knowledge exchange, fostering innovation, and strengthening healthcare preparedness across military and civilian sectors.

Officials said the collaboration reflects efforts to position the UAE as a global hub for specialised medical and scientific gatherings.

Organised by the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with the Adnoc Group, the World Military Medicine Congress is considered one of the leading international platforms in the field. It brings together military medical leaders, researchers and experts from more than 120 countries to share scientific advances and promote cooperation in healthcare and medical operations.
