Qatar condemns Israel over ‘freedom flotilla’ incident
Qatar has strongly criticised Israel following an incident involving a Global Freedom Flotilla, describing it as a “flagrant violation” of international law and maritime security.
In a statement, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the incident reflects Israel’s ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip, which it characterised as unjust.
The ministry warned that Israeli measures, including the closure of border crossings and restrictions on humanitarian aid, risk worsening the already critical humanitarian situation in Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza.
It also accused Israel of using food supplies as a tool against civilians amid the ongoing crisis.
Qatar called on the international community to take decisive action to pressure Israel to reopen crossings, allow the flow of aid, and ensure protection for Palestinians.
