Israel military chief warns of expanded strikes during south Lebanon visit

Eyal Zamir has signalled a potential expansion of military operations during a visit to southern Lebanon, warning that threats beyond established boundaries would be targeted.

According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces, Zamir said Israeli forces would act against Hezbollah positions not only south of the Litani River but also beyond the so-called “Yellow Line.”

He emphasised that any threat to Israeli communities or military personnel would be addressed, regardless of location, during his visit to troops stationed in Israel’s security zone in southern Lebanon.
