14 Killed in Plane Crash Near South Sudan Capital Juba

At least 14 people were killed after a small aircraft crashed on the outskirts of Juba on Monday, according to aviation authorities.

The aircraft, identified as a Cessna aircraft, went down approximately 20 kilometres southwest of the capital. Officials confirmed that all 13 passengers and the pilot on board lost their lives in the حادث.

Preliminary findings from the civil aviation authority suggest that adverse weather conditions, including poor visibility, may have contributed to the crash.

Authorities said the passengers included two Kenyan nationals, while the remaining victims were South Sudanese.

A response team has been dispatched to the crash site to investigate the incident and assist emergency services. Videos circulating on social media showed the wreckage engulfed in flames in what appeared to be a misty, mountainous area.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
