Emirates to Resume Kuwait and Oman Flights from May
Emirates has announced the resumption of flights to Kuwait and Oman starting May 1, as regional air travel continues to recover and connectivity across Gulf destinations improves.
The airline will initially operate two daily direct flights between Dubai International Airport and Kuwait International Airport. The first flight (EK855) is scheduled to depart at 7:50am, followed by a second service (EK857) at 2:55pm.
From May 16, Emirates plans to increase operations to four daily flights using Airbus A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, before introducing a fifth daily service from May 21. The phased expansion reflects growing demand and the gradual normalisation of air traffic in the region.
In parallel, flights to Muscat will also resume between May 1 and May 15, with five weekly services on flight EK866 and two additional weekly flights on EK862. Daily operations on the Muscat route will be reinstated from May 16.
The move follows the reopening of Kuwaiti airspace and signals a broader recovery in short-haul travel, with airlines responding to increased passenger demand and improved regional travel conditions.
