Ukraine Says Russian Casualties Hit Record High in March as Drone Strikes Increase

Kyiv:Ukraine’s armed forces said Russian troop losses reached a new monthly high in March, with a sharp rise in drone attacks playing a major role.
Ukraine reported around 35,351 Russian casualties last month, marking a 29% increase compared to February. Officials said drones were responsible for about 96% of the losses, while the rest were caused by artillery and small arms.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukrainian Defence Minister said the figures are based on confirmed evidence, including video recordings of the strikes.
The numbers slightly exceed the previous record set in December and suggest that Russian losses have been rising steadily this year. According to Ukrainian officials, Russia is now facing heavier losses for every area it captures compared to last year.
Ukraine also claims that Russia has struggled to replace its troops since December, despite plans to recruit over 400,000 soldiers this year.
