San Francisco: Police in San Francisco have arrested a 20-year-old man after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the home of Sam Altman, setting a gate on fire.

The incident happened early Friday morning in the North Beach area. While police did not officially confirm the address, a spokesperson for OpenAI said the attack took place at Altman’s home. Thankfully, no one was injured.

After fleeing the scene, the suspect later appeared outside an OpenAI office and reportedly threatened to burn down the building. Police arrested him shortly after. Authorities have not yet shared his identity, and the case is still under investigation.

Altman is a leading figure in artificial intelligence and heads OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. His company has played a major role in the rapid growth of AI technology since 2022.

As AI continues to expand, it is expected to bring big changes to jobs and the economy. OpenAI has recently suggested steps like job training and skill development to help people adapt to these changes.
