As his three-day visit to the Gulf came to a close in Qatar, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer shared his thoughts on the importance of staying connected. He noted that NATO remains ‘in America’s interests,’ describing the alliance as a defensive bond that has helped keep things stable for decades.

The trip wasn't just about defense; it was also about practical solutions for the ‘fragile’ Middle East truce. Following a call with the U.S. President, Starmer discussed the need to get ships moving through the Strait of Hormuz again. The UK is currently working with a group of over 30 countries to help secure this vital waterway.

Starmer also touched on how these global events hit home, mentioning that stability is key to keeping energy costs predictable for families and businesses. While he agreed that everyone needs to play their part in funding, he remains focused on the value of working together.
