UAE President Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Emir of Qatar, Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Abu Dhabi on a fraternal visit, during which the two leaders held discussions on pressing regional developments and broader bilateral cooperation.
The meeting focused on the ongoing military escalation in the region and its implications for regional and international security and stability. Both sides expressed concern over the impact of these developments on maritime security and the global economy, emphasizing the importance of maintaining calm and promoting de-escalation.
The leaders also addressed security challenges facing the region, including recent attacks, and underscored the need to protect sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of civilians and civilian infrastructure. In this context, they reviewed efforts aimed at strengthening national security and safeguarding their respective countries.
