Fire Breaks Out at Haifa Oil Refinery After Missile Debris Strike

Haifa: An oil refinery in Haifa was set ablaze after debris from an intercepted missile struck the facility, according to Israeli authorities.
Footage on local television and social media showed thick black smoke rising from the refinery complex in Haifa Bay. The Israel Fire and Rescue Service said a fuel tanker was hit, causing the fire, while another building also sustained damage.
Emergency crews responding to the scene confirmed a “direct hit” on part of the facility. No casualties were reported.
The refinery had been targeted earlier this month amid ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran.
