Missile Strike Hits Iraqi Airbase, Destroys Military Aircraft

Baghdad: Iraq’s defence ministry has reported that missiles struck the Mohammed Alaa airbase near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of the morning, destroying an aircraft belonging to the Iraqi Air Force.
No casualties were reported in the attack. Officials condemned the strike, calling it a “cowardly and criminal act” targeting the country’s military capabilities.
Meanwhile, in neighbouring Syria, the army said it intercepted a large-scale drone attack on multiple bases near the Iraqi border. According to state media, most of the drones were successfully shot down.
