US Ambassador Snubs Polish Speaker Over Trump
US Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose announced he will cut off all contact with Polish Parliament Speaker Wlodzimierz Czarzasty over his comments on President Donald Trump.
Rose called Czarzasty’s remarks ‘outrageous and unprovoked insults’ that hinder relations with Prime Minister Tusk’s government, without specifying which comments triggered the decision.
Czarzasty, leader of the junior coalition party The Left, had refused to sign a letter nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing Trump’s destabilizing foreign policy, disregard for international law, and criticism of Polish soldiers in Afghanistan.
