BIS Celebrates Annual Sports Day 2025–26 with Athletic Brilliance

Bahrain Indian School (BIS) commemorated its Annual Sports Day 2025–26 with vibrant energy, athletic excellence, and community spirit, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to holistic education and youth empowerment.
The event was graced by Mr Adnan Ebrahim, Bahrain’s celebrated national badminton player, as the Chief Guest. A distinguished Arab and GCC Champion, Mr Ebrahim is also a global ambassador for the Badminton World Federation’s ‘I Am Badminton’ integrity campaign, promoting ethics and fair play in sport across the Arab world. The programme commenced with a formal reception of the Chief Guest, followed by the Bahrain National Anthem, a felicitation ceremony, and the ceremonial lighting of the torch and torch relay. A spectacular March Past showcased discipline and teamwork, leading into inspiring addresses by the Principal, Mr Saji Jacob. The Sports Captain administered the oath, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and fair competition. The athletic meet was officially declared open with a balloon release, symbolising aspiration and unity.
Students from Grades 3 to 12 participated in a wide range of track and field events, including 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m races, obstacle races, relay events, bean bag balance races, and dashes designed to encourage agility and endurance. A colourful callisthenic display by Grades 3 to 5 added visual vibrancy and showcased coordinated physical expression.
Chief Guest Mr Ebrahim encouraged students to pursue excellence, discipline, and integrity in both sports and life.
Directors Mr. Himanshu Verma and Ms. Ritu Verma congratulated the winners and appreciated the students for displaying true sportsman spirit, enthusiasm, grit and great determination.
BIS’s Annual Sports Day 2025– 26 stood as a powerful celebration of talent, teamwork, resilience, and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship, reinforcing the school’s vision of nurturing well-rounded global citizens.
