New Horizon School organized a ‘Pink Drive and Awareness Rally’ to promote breast cancer awareness and solidarity for the cause in both Zinj and Segaya campuses on October 28th, 2025. The event aimed to instill a sense of empathy and social responsibility among students while spreading the message of hope and support.

The day began witha thought-provoking assembly featuring the importance of the Pink Drive and supporting those affected by breast cancer. Following the assembly, Principal, Mrs. Vandana Sateesh and Junior Principal, Mrs. Nirmala Angelose, along with the school PTA members, formally handed over the banner flags to the Head Boy and Head Girl, officially flagging off the rally. The students participated with enthusiasm, carrying banners and slogans to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

A special highlight of the Pink Drive was the hair donation initiative undertaken by compassionate students who volunteered to donate their hair to support cancer patients undergoing treatment. A striking highlight of the event was when students from Grades 3 and 4 came together to form a human model spelling the word “HOPE,” representing courage, unity, and optimism.

The Chairman, Mr. Joy Mathews, appreciates everyone’s effort for organizing such a noble initiative. He also commended the active participation of PTA members in encouraging community engagement through the Pink Drive.

The event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the school’s commitment to promoting health awareness, compassion, and collective responsibility among students.
