New Horizon School celebrated United Nations Day with a vibrant multicultural event that highlighted peace, cooperation, and global citizenship. The celebration reflected the school’s diverse international community and its dedication to fostering unity in diversity.

The programme began with a special assembly led by students and Social Department under the leadership of Mrs. Gladis Sheejo, focusing on the principles and objectives of the United Nations. A grand flag parade featuring different nationalities followed, symbolizing harmony among cultures. Students presented creative performances aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a poignant dance skit touched the very core of our modern struggles—highlighting the urgent issue of mobile phone addiction. Through movement and emotion, it conveyed a powerful message: today’s youth are tomorrow’s torchbearers of change, capable of transforming challenges into hope and a brighter future for all.

Principal Mrs. Vandana Sateesh emphasized the importance of peace, collaboration, and mindful living in today’s interconnected world. She also commended Bahrain’s global educational leadership, referring to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s initiative — the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education — which celebrates innovative efforts to promote inclusive and equitable learning worldwide.

The event beautifully embodied the United Nations’ vision of collective progress, reaffirming New Horizon School’s belief in empowering youth to transform global aspirations into meaningful community action.
