Sleepy at Work? Head to the Nap Bar!
Dubai: It is just past lunch time and if you’re in a need of a quick nap, and all you can think of is how quick can you crawl under a blanket, then this free nap bar in Dubai is just the place for you!
According to Gulf News, the concept for the nap bar was brought by French design furniture house Smarin, as part of the Design Days Dubai and Art Dubai events, which invites visitors to “disconnect and recharge” with pillows, ponchos and tea.
Founder Stephanie Marin, in a statement, said: “I had the idea for the Nap Bar because when I'm walking in big cities, sometimes I take a break with a coffee but actually I need more of a real break.”
The temporary installation, described by Smarin’s spokesperson as, “a space devoted to wellness, a social cocoon…created to integrate a moment of calm, relaxation [and] rest,” is open from 10am-7pm, and runs from March 10 to 31.
