ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain signs agreement with Amakin

The Executive Organising Committee of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 signed an agreement with Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin) to sponsor the highly anticipated, multi-sport event taking place later this year.

The deal was confirmed in the presence of Executive Organising Committee Chairman, Ishaq Abdulla Ishaq, and Amakin CEO Tariq Ali Aljowder.

The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, held under the banner of the International School Sport Federation (ISF), is scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom in October under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Ishaq welcomed Amakin as a valuable supporter of the event. He thanked Amakin for their full cooperation with the Executive Organising Committee, which is preparing to host the largest event in the history of Bahraini sport, featuring more than 5,000 students carrying the flags of 80 countries from around the world.

Aljowder said that Amakin’s support stems from the company’s positive collaboration with sports events in the Kingdom.

He noted that it is an embodiment of the cooperation between various sectors, and pointed out the importance of such distinguished partnerships to advance youth and sports in Bahrain.

The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 is set to be held over a period of 10 days this October.

Twenty-five different sports will be showcased in the event, among which include athletics, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, boxing, taekwondo, karate, judo, table tennis, badminton, ground tennis, handball, volleyball, dancing, chess, javelin throwing, darts and paralympic games.

Fourteen sites across Bahrain have been allocated as venues for games as well as for special programmes that will be held for the participants.
