Community ‘friendship’ tournament organised for badminton enthusiasts

The Pinoy Badminton Group held a friendship Open Doubles Badminton Tournament 2022 on 7 October at Muharraq Club.
The group is affiliated with Filipino Club Bahrain, a non-profit organisation duly registered and recognised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
Taking part in the one-day event were 122 players from the different nationalities of India, Pakistan, Slovenia, Thailand, China, Singapore, Canada, Republic of Korea, France, Thailand and the Philippines.
Philippine Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires Anne Jalando-on Louis, Filipino Club Bahrain president, Mr Ric Advincula, and the Club’s Executive Committee and other guests grace the opening ceremony.
It was organised as part of the group’s advocacy in creating a healthy and open for all community space for badminton enthusiast in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Another similar event will be hosted by the group before the year ends. The group’s regular schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For more details please contact Mr Advincula at 39997288.
