Bahrain Club was the other team to advance from the competition’s preliminary stage after a 33-21 win over Tubli.
In Ettihad’s win, they were ahead 14-10 at the end of the opening half and did well to hold until the end, while in Ettifaq’s victory, they held a 17-12 lead at the interval but Tadhamon were able to fight back in the final 30 minutes.
