Wales, Fernie win Porsche Monday madness

Dena Wales and her playing partner Dave Fernie (nett 40) narrowly won week three of the six-week long Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club.

Second place went to the duo of Ahmed Mohamed and Ali Al Kowari(41) with Ronan Smith and Sebastian Woodrow (42) coming in third and nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 won by Steven Hill and Stephen Wagstaff respectively.

At the halfway point in the series, three pairs sit at the top of the leader board with 5 points apiece – this week’s winners, Wales and Fernie, along with Abdulla Al Hakam and Eid Adel Meftah and the duo of Rob Mills and Adrian Morgan.

Around 30 players took part in this week’s “3 x 3 Rumble” golf tournament which was played under floodlights on the back nine holes of the challenging Montgomerie championship course.

Porsche branded flags and models of the Porsche Panamera GTS and Porsche Carrera S were displayed on the course during the competition.

The evening concluded with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.
