The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) celebrated its female employees for their valuable contributions and endless endeavours in advancing the company’s development, marking Bahraini Women’s Day.

The event included various interactive workshops in the creative sphere, to nurture a sense of innovation and inspiration in the participants. Moreover, a luncheon was held in their honour, with the attendance of ASRY Executive Management. ASRY has over 50 women in its specialised workforce in various fields such as administrative, technical, and engineering positions.

In addition, women occupy specialisations such as professional diving, in which the company employed the first Bahraini woman working in this industrial field in Bahrain. In particular, ASRY places great importance on training female engineers to qualify them as project managers.

Moreover, six women currently hold leadership positions in the company, most notably as Deputy CEO. ASRY Managing Director, Mazen Matar, expressed his appreciation and pride towards all the women in ASRY for their dedication, praising their distinguished efforts and prominent role in pushing the company towards success.

ASRY Deputy CEO Sahar Ataaei commented: “ASRY has always been keen to dedicate this day to highlighting the achievements made by the company’s female employees in various fields and levels, considering them an integral part of ASRY’s progress and growth."
