Alba’s Town Hall meetings conclude

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the leading aluminium smelters in the world, held the last session of its annual 2016 “Town Hall Meetings” yesterday.

The 2016 Town Hall Meetings commenced on January 14, and covered about 80 per cent of Alba’s employees through tenth sessions.
Alba CEO Tim Murray delivered all the sessions during which, he presented an update on the Company’s performance and achievements in 2015 along with the expectations for 2016.

Speaking on the annual Town Hall Meetings, CEO Tim Murray said, “Town Hall Meeting is a very sound practice for any organisation as it bridges the gap amongst the different layers of the workforce. For a company as Alba with such a huge taskforce, these Meetings are equally important as through which, we ensure synergy amongst us as well as help us orchestrate as a team on how to embrace the challenges ahead in order to remain competitive.”

“In this regard, I would like to thank all the employees who participated in these meetings, and look forward to next year’s Town Hall Meetings,” he added.

Town Hall Meetings were first launched in January 2014 by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, and underlined the Company’s commitment to promoting direct communication between the management and the employees.
