Equal Opportunity, Bigger Horizons for Bahraini Women

Benefit Company has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting equal opportunities and supporting the advancement of Bahraini women as the Supreme Council for Women marks its silver jubilee.

Hessa Hussain, Executive Vice President of the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau and Data Affairs and Chairperson of Benefit’s Equal Opportunities Committee, said the company has adopted an institutional approach to supporting women in financial technology through career development, training and leadership opportunities.

She said the approach goes beyond providing employment opportunities to developing specialised career paths that reflect the evolving needs of the fintech sector.

Benefit provides its female employees with opportunities for learning, practical experience and greater responsibilities in areas including digital payments, credit information and data management, she said.

Hussain added that the Equal Opportunities Committee regularly reviews the company’s policies and practices and coordinates with different departments to promote equal opportunities in professional development, training, career advancement and leadership preparation.

She also highlighted the company’s focus on empowering women in the financial and banking sectors.

Hussain said the growing presence of Bahraini women in financial and banking institutions, including their advancement into executive and leadership positions, reflects the support provided through national policies and programmes and the role of the Supreme Council for Women in developing initiatives that promote women’s participation.

She praised the Council’s role in consolidating the achievements of Bahraini women and strengthening institutional practices that support their advancement.

Benefit said it would continue working to strengthen women’s participation in fintech and contribute to increasing their role in Bahrain’s digital transformation and broader development.
