The Cabinet discussed the measures taken to address the damage caused by weather changes in the Kingdom of Bahrain and directed the concerned authorities to document and manage the damage.

It commended the efforts the Ministry of Interior through the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the General Directorate of Traffic, as well as the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the Ministry of Works for their prompt response to the weather changes and rainfall.

Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet highlighted the importance of the meeting held between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, during his visit to Bahrain.

It commended the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit, which aims to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two Kingdoms for the mutual benefit of their people. The Cabinet strongly condemned and denounced the attack that targeted a concert hall near the capital of the Russian Federation, Moscow, resulting in the death and injury of innocent civilians.

It conveyed Bahrain’s heartful condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, the government of Russia, and its people, and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The Cabinet discussed several memorandums during the meeting, approving the following: a memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on a draft law amending some provisions of the Correction and Rehabilitation Centre Law; and a memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on a draft decree ratifying the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, as amended by the 2016 Kigali Amendments.
