Council for Arts hailed for supporting Bahraini artists

Minister of Information, His Excellency Dr.Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, commended the role of the National Council for Arts in supporting Bahraini artists and its role in highlighting Bahrain’s culture and civilisation through its participation and contributions to various artistic and cultural events and activities in and outside the Kingdom.

This came as Dr. Al Noaimi, visited the RAK Art Foundation, where he met Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Council for Arts. Dr. Al Noaim affirmed that the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighted the role of Bahraini art as a soft power tool that depicts Bahrain’s identity and its approach of promoting peace.

The minister toured the foundation and viewed the exhibition of the creations and possessions of the photographer and cinematographer, Khalifa Shaheen. Dr. Al Noaimi hailed the unique career of the photographer and cinematographer, Khalifa Shaheen, and all that he produced through the years, placing him as a one of the top inspiring Bahraini artists for the future generations.

Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa affirmed that Bahraini art reached the pinnacle of creativity through the support of HM the King and the follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, enabling Bahraini art to reach a distinguished status on regional and international levels. Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa thanked the minister for his keenness to support national artists, affirming the media’s role in highlighting Bahrain’s artists’ achievements.
