Bahraini women hailed for outstanding achievements and contributions in nation building

Bahraini women have made significant strides in elevating the international standing of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This was emphasised by Tourism Minister, Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, as the Kingdom celebrated the Bahraini Women’s Day yesterday.

Al Sairafi said their success has been made possible through the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the constant support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

These accomplishments serve as a testament to the remarkable progress and empowerment of Bahraini women on the global stage, she noted. The Minister praised the efforts, plans and projects of the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of Her Majesty the King and its SCW President, in supporting the progress of women and enshrining the principle of equal opportunities to boost their contributions to the comprehensive development process.


Bahraini Women’s Day is celebrated in honouring and celebrating women’s achievements, progress and success in all economic, social, political, cultural and media fields as an active partner in the progress and prosperity of Bahraini society.

Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed the ability of Bahraini women to deliver achievements, which has enhanced their outstanding contributions at all levels and their role in supporting the comprehensive development process, with the continuous support they receive from HM the King and HRH Prince Salman.

She highlighted the leading role of the SCW) in supporting Bahraini women and promoting their progress in various sectors. During a ceremony organised by the ministry to celebrate Bahraini Women’s Day, the Minister commended this year’s theme focusing on the role of women in comprehensive development, which reflects the key role played by Bahraini women in supporting the comprehensive development process.
