HRH Prince Salman amends edict provisions on BIAS committee

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict (46) of 2023, amending some of the provisions of Edict (61) of 2009 on establishing and forming the Supreme Organising Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) based on a proposal by the Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the BIAS.

The edict stipulates that Article (2) of Edict (61) of 2009 on establishing and forming the Supreme Organising Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) shall be amended as follows:

The Supreme Organising Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) shall be chaired by the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa and shall consist of the following members: Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Commander of the Sakhir Air Base, Civil Aviation Undersecretary at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, General Director of the Bahrain International Airshow, Representative of the Royal Court, and two experienced members nominated by the committee chairman.

The authority stipulated in Clause (5) of the preceding paragraph shall determine who represents them in the Committee. The Ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provision of this edict, which shall be effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
