Special students need special care

Education Ministry announced organising a virtual training programme for parents of students with autism. The programme is for the academic year 2021 -2022, said Dr Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, the Education Minister. The move forms part of efforts to develop services for students with special needs amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The programme aims at supporting schools’ efforts to deliver lessons and develop students’ life skills.
A group of specialists from the Ministry of Education and psychiatric medical units in the Kingdom will lead the session. Dr Al-Nuaimi said the programme is within the ministry’s efforts to help students with autism during the current circumstances.
