The total fee for the three coronavirus-detecting tests for arrivals at the Bahrain International Airport is now reduced to BD24 from BD36 previously.
It is paid through the e-government portal or via the payment machines located at the airport.
This is the third time the COVID-19 test fee has been reduced. Earlier, since July 2020, the fee was BD60.
It was slashed to BD40 from December 1 and BD36 from Feb 22 as the Kingdom seeks measures to tackle a spike in fresh cases.
All arrivals – citizens and foreigners – will continue to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at the airport.
In a new measure, all passengers will undergo a second test five days after arrival.
A third test is conducted 10 days after arrival.
All arrivals must activate the “conscious society” application and sign a pledge acknowledging their commitment to self-quarantine instructions, which require isolation in the place of residence until the results of the laboratory examination that was performed upon arrival are obtained
