Al Istiqlal Secondary School for Girls won the Best Private Sector Project Award in His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Innovation Competition in Artificial Intelligence, for the Pharmacy4D project.

It is a smartphone application that connects patients with doctors, the Ministry of Health and pharmacies together, and to develop services in the pharmaceutical sector.

The project’s idea aims to enhance the electronic services provided in the health sector to citizens and residents.

Through this application, it is possible to scan the medicine box or handwritten and printed prescription and to search for pharmacies that provide these medicines, by using one of the artificial intelligence tools provided by Microsoft Azure, which is the OCR scanning feature (Computer Vision).

The power app program is used to build the application.
